A Pair of Mermen

English Bronze Figures in the manner of John Flaxman. On a Rococo scroll 'c' base. These candelabra sing with movement. The modelling is good and the pieces can be viewed from any angle and seem to be made anew at each viewpoint - the sign of a good sculpture. The mermen face into one another, one being an older merman and the other, a younger: this adds a level of interest as they are not merely the same figure in reflection.
