This work is one of considerable tenderness and has an entrancing, wistful and reflective mood.

Maurice Man was an Artist and designer, born in Northwest London.  Studied at St.Martin’s School of Art and L’Academie de las Grande Chauiere, Paris.  Man was primarily a portrait and figure painter, often of women and children. His subjects included: Joan Collins, Christine Keeler and Julie Andrews.

 

Exhibitions include: Kensington Art Gallery, 1958 and Mount Gallery, 1964.
