French Bronze Bacchantes Candlesticks

French Bronze Figures in the manner of Clodion. Crouched figures of bacchantes, each supporting a foliate candle nozzle. Mounted on a black marble base. These pieces are exceptional for their celebration of the female form when viewed from the front, but as they are turned, we see a detailed study in bronze of drapery and its swathes and glorious folds. Super pieces of small sculpture. Good patina.
